Of all the animal species, none have stimulated as much interest, pleasure,
wonderment, and yes, even envy among we human beings as birds. They have wings.
Even the most angelic of us do not. They can fly. We
can’t, that is, without transportation. We delight in watching the birds
and by putting up bird feeders we invite them to us. Even though we're not
as free as the birds we are free to choose how to extend an invitation with

help protect the habitats of endangered birds in America. To that end, it
